At the High School for Community Leadership, we take the next steps of our students personally. Our goal is to make sure every students has a plan and succeeds at that next level. Everyone needs to start having a conversation with pre-teens/teens about life after high school. Come up with a plan and start mapping it out. Here are some pointers for everyone!
ASKING QUESTIONS IS ALWAYS A GOOD START!
- What is the best way to prepare for college? (Know your GPA and PARENTS, talk to your teens about what a GPA is!) Grading in education is the process of applying standardized measurements of varying levels of achievement in a course. Grades can be assigned as letters, as a range, as a percentage, or as a number out of a possible total. In some countries, grades are averaged to create a grade point average.
- What unique programs are incorporated into your school’s curriculum?
- What do students like most about your college/university?
- What are the most popular majors at your college?
- What happens if you get sick at college?
- Are professors available to give individual attention to students if requested?
- What type of tutoring programs are offered to students?
